Cause, apparently whether or not he is circumcised proves he's an American, obviously... Um, yeah, there are honestly no words. Well, I did have a really inappropriate pun for the post's title to make fun of their cognitive dissonance when accusing Obama of being a Muslim (who are often circumcised), a Nazi, a "wild" uncircumcised African, a communist, and the Antichrist all at the same time, but it's a bit dirty and crass... read the rest if you want see it. I am glad that you called this nonsense for exactly what it is - ignorant race baiting politics of fear. I am even more disturbed by the fact that the reasonable people on the right haven't done more to call these wingnuts on this bullshit.
I know, it's absolutely ridiculous. It's like in their heads they are going, "Well, it's just not right that he's a black man, but that's not a valid reason anymore, like it was 50 years ago... so, this discomfort I'm feeling MUST be because he's not an American! Yes, that's it! Thank God I found a valid reason" And if it's not because they have an issue with a black man but won't admit it, it's because he represents a different view of the world that makes them uncomfortable and doesn't position them as "patriotic" Americans in the center of the universe. It's reactive fear of the "other," either way, plain and simple.
